Szeged (NE Hungary) – its local council, university and local businesses and civil associations – has won HUF 220 billion in European Union development funding in the past four years, more than any other city in Hungary, deputy mayor Sándor Nagy said on Tuesday.
The development funding works out to HUF 1.3 million per resident, Nagy said, speaking at the last local council meeting of the current government cycle.
One of the biggest projects supported by the funding was a HUF 30 billion tram development. (MTI-Econews)
