Szeged landmark reopens as hotel

A historical landmark in Szeged (SE Hungary) will reopen in April as a four-star hotel after undergoing a HUF 238m renovation, hotel manager Zsolt Dömsödi said on Thursday

European Union funding is covering HUF 106m of the cost of the project, which started in mid-2009. The hotel will have 15 rooms and a suite. Mr Dömsödi said he hopes the Hotel Soleil's occupancy rate will be higher than the 40-50% average for the city. (MTI)
