Magyar Suzuki Rt began production of its new SX4 family model in its plant in Esztergom, north Hungary on Monday, and will make 60,000 of the new model this year. The company will make 170,000 cars in 2006 in total, but plans to boost output to 300,000 units by 2008.
The SX4 was developed in cooperation with Fiat and will be sold under both brand names.
Magyar Suzuki had revenue of Ft 300 billion in 2005 and projects Ft 400 billion this year. Investments will total Ft 76 billion this year, up from Ft 60 billion a year earlier.
