Sulyok és Szabó have won a tender to build a HUF 6 billion water park in Nagymaros, on the Danube north of Budapest, mayor László Petrovics told MTI.
The local council will provide the HUF 1.1 billion plot for the investment as an in-kind contribution, but Sulyok és Szabó will purchase it after 2015, when the entire project is completed, Petrovics said.
The first phase of the water park, which includes the construction of an 80-room hotel, is to be completed by the end of May 2012. The second phase, which involves building a conference and wellness hotel with at least 40 rooms will finish at the end of December 2015.
A permit to drill a 1,500-meter well to provide thermal water for the park has already been acquired.
Either Sulyok és Szabó or a hotel chain will operate the water park. (MTI – Econews)
