Some of Ferihegy flights cancelled

Hungarian national airline Malév has cancelled flights departing from Budapest Ferihegy International Airport to Athens and Thessaloniki on Wednesday due to the Greek air-traffic controller strike, while Irish low-cost airline Ryanair has cancelled a flight from the airport to Glasgow as a result of a new volcanic-ash cloud drifting over Scotland from Iceland, spokesman Károly Szilágyi of Budapest Airport, the company that operates Ferihegy, told MTI on Wednesday morning.

Szilágyi noted that Malév has not cancelled its Wednesday-night flight to Greece. (MTI-ECONEWS)
