Chair manufacturer Sitform Bútorgyár will build a HUF 450 million, 3,000-square-meter production hall at the company's plant in the city of Zalaegerszeg, the regional daily Zalai Hírlap reported.
The company will finance 30% of the cost of the project through support from the Western Transdanubian Regional Development Agency, Sitform production manager Péter Kozma told the newspaper.
Kozma said that Siform will hire 30 new employees to work at the new production hall, which is expected to be completed this autumn. The company currently employs 370 people.
Sitform, which manufactures 25,000 pieces of furniture per year, generated revenue of HUF 3.9 billion in 2010.
