Shopguard opens HUF 45.3 mln plant

Shopguard Kft, a company developing, making and distributing electronic goods-protection devices, has opened a HUF 45.3 million plant in Magyarnándor (N Hungary), Shopguard Procurement Manager Vilmos Rakovszki said.

Shopguard received HUF 22.6 million in European Union funding to build the plant.

Shopguard, set up in 1992, is owned by Hungarian investors and employs 58 workers in Budapest and Magyarnándor. The company hired 9 more workers as a result of the investment.

Rakovszki said the company exports its anti-shoplifting products to 35 countries.
