Austrian-owned Selco Electronics Kft has approved a greenfield investment worth Ft 150 million in which the company will build a 2,200 square meter manufacturing plant in Ajka, west Hungary, company representative Andrea Felső said.
The project will be complete with an adjoining logistics center and new production lines. Jointly owned by Siedel Holding GmbH and Liska GmbH, Selco manufactures labor-intensive specialty electronic equipment and parts including printed circuits and cables, using mostly manual labor. The completion of the new production facility is expected in August, after which Selco will move out of its rented premises in nearby Bakonygyepes.
