Korean electronics maker Samsung is moving some of its plasma television production from Slovakia to Hungary, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported on Monday.
Samsung will reassign 400 of its staff in Slovakia because of the move, Slovakian news agency TASR said, citing Samsung Electronics Slovakia spokeswoman Katarina Holecova. The step will cut down logistics costs as the modules for the plasma TVs are already made in Hungary. Samsung’s centre for LCD TV production will remain in Slovakia. (MTI-Econews)
