French-owned high-technology company Sagemcom Magyarország Kft has been engaged to set up a VHF radio network for Budapest's third metro line. Budapest public transport company BKV Zrt will pay net HUF 432 million for the network, according to a statement published in the Public Procurement Gazette. BKV picked Sagemcom out of four bidders. The other bidders were FERCOM Kommunikációs Kft, MultiCom Kft and ITK Holding Zrt. The lowest offer was HUF 422 million, the highest HUF 500 million.
