Ryanair CEO says still unhedged on fuel in Q4

Ryanair Chief Executive Michael O'Leary said the airline remained unhedged on fuel for its fourth quarter.

“We're still unhedged for Q4, we haven't extended our hedging program any futher,” O'Leary told Reuters in a telephone interview.

Europe's largest low-cost carrier said in late July it expected a full-year result between breakeven and a loss of €60 million ($89.86 million) on the basis of its existing fuel hedges, fourth-quarter oil prices estimated at around $130 per barrel and average fares falling by 5%. (Reuters)
