Rosenberger Hungary, the Hungarian unit of German electronics company Rosenberger, has completed a €3.5 million expansion of its plant and warehouse in central Hungary, unit Director Francisco Papp announced on Thursday.
Papp said that Rosenberger Hungary, which primarily manufactures cables and connectors for motor-vehicle and telecommunications companies, had doubled both production and warehouse capacity at its site in Jászárokszállás (C Hungary) as a result of the investment. The company decided on the expansion in the light of a steady rise in orders.
The investment expanded Rosenberger's warehouse area to 5,000 square meters and production area to 7,000 square meters.
Papp noted that Rosenberger Hungary financed the investment, which took six months to complete, exclusively through its own resources.
The company expects the investment to help the company increase annual net revenue to HUF 5 billion from the current HUF 3.5 billion.
Rosenberger Hungary plans to hire 300 more people at its expanded plant and warehouse, raising the total number of employees to 1,600.
