Hungarian corrugated box maker Rondo Hullámkartongyártó has completed a capacity expansion at its base in Budapest at a cost of almost HUF 2 billion, the company told MTI on Friday.
Rondo Hullámkartongyártó paid for the investment without taking out loans or applying for grant money. The company expects the new capacity, which fits its strategy to make products with higher added value, to give it an advantage when the Hungarian economy picks up.
Rondo Hullámkartongyártó controls about one-sixth of Hungary's corrugated board market. It supplies IKEA, Chio, Electrolux and Samsung. The company employs 180 people.
Rondo Hullámkartongyártó is a unit of family-owned Rondo Ganahl, based in Austria. (MTI-ECONEWS)
