Rába and Scania sign supply deal

Hungarian running gear maker Rába Futómű Kft and Swedish Scania AS have signed a general contract for supply.

Rába Futómű Kft started delivering truck parts for Scania AS as of Q2 2007 and turnover is expected to reach €2.5 million ($3.39 million) within 2007, Rába announced. Talks between the two Magyarország recommended Rába as a potential supplier for Scania, when the Swedish company expressed its wish to expand its supplier basis in Eastern-Central- Europe. Before the two companies signed the contract, Rába had to go through a comprehensive supplier qualification process, where it met the requirements in the audit on production, process and logistics.
