Qatar Airways plans to boost its number of Budapest flights to one a day from September, CEO Akbar Al Baker said, a day after arriving on the first Qatar flight to the Hungarian capital.
Load factor on the Budapest flight is “very high” at present and is expected to grow further, Al Baker said without revealing any specific figures.
Qatar Airways has launched four Doha-Budapest flights a week, with a stopover in Bucharest. From September, the flight could become a direct one, without the stopover in the Romanian capital.
Qatar Airways is the first airline from the Gulf region to offer a direct flight to Budapest. (MTI – Econews)
