Procontrol Elektronika, a maker of access control systems based in Szeged, inaugurated a HUF 160 million research and development laboratory.
European Union funding covered half of the cost of the laboratory, said senior managing director Károly Kovács. The new lab will allow Procontrol to bring products from the planning to the prototype stage in one place, he added.
Procontrol develops products for a number of big foreign companies and is currently working on joint projects with two German companies and a company from the UK.
Procontrol has annual revenue of about HUF 500 million, Kovács said. (MTI - Econews)
