Hungarian poultry farm company Zalai Baromfifeldolgozó on Tuesday signed a contract for a HUF 224 million government grant to support the creation of 120 jobs at its base in Pacsa (W Hungary).
Zalai Baromfifeldolgozó will make 120 new hires by next February, but wants to gradually bring the number of staff to about 200, said managing director Tibor Bedő. The new hires will work at a HUF 1.5 billion plant to be put into operation in October, he added.
Zalai Baromfifeldolgozó won a HUF 401 million grant for the expansion on top of the HUF 224 million in job-creation support.
The company aims to bring its annual processing capacity to 2.5 million chickens and 800,000 turkeys.
Zalai Baromfifeldolgozó was established by 90 poultry farmers and two feed mixers.
