The police have started a case on suspicion of misuse of documents and other crimes related to the bankruptcy of travel agency Aeroviva, the Budapest Police Headquarters told MTI on Thursday.
Witnesses are being heard in the case at present, the police said when asked whether there had been an on-site search in the case.
"At the current stage of the case, we are not able to provide any further information," the police said.
Aeroviva announced on Monday that it was ending its travel agent and trip organisation activities. The company said that it had done everything possible to keep operating, but could not continue because of the economic situation.
QBE Insurance, which holds Aeroviva's HUF 494 million bond, could not say on Wednesday whether the amount would cover claims. (MTI-ECONEWS)
