Some 800,000 new cars are due to roll off production lines in Poland this year, setting a new record in the European Union country, according to a Monday newspaper report.
European automakers Fiat and Opel have upped production in Poland this year, while American firms GM Chevrolet and Ford have plans to use production facilities in Poland, the liberal Gazeta Wyborcza reported Monday. GM will use the FSO car factory in the capital Warsaw to begin production of its Chevrolet Aveo model in October.
