Philips has brought production of 3D televisions and LED lighting fixtures to its plants in Hungary, Benedikt Laux, the Dutch company's manager in charge of the CEE region, said at a press conference in Székesfehérvár.
Philips is making 3D televisions at its factory in Székesfehérvár and LED light fixtures at its base in Tamási, Laux said. He declined to reveal the cost of the investment to bring the production to Hungary.
Philips will make 400,000-500,000 3D televisions in Hungary in 2010, but the number will rise to 1 million later, he said. (MTI-Econews)
