HVB Bank Hungary announced on Monday that Mihály Patai will take over as CEO of the bank from April 15, replacing Matthias Kunsch, who is retiring.The bank also announced that deputy-CEO Agnes Doffer, who is also retiring, will be replaced by Ágnes Radványi. Patai graduated from the Budapest University of Economics in 1976. He has worked at the National Bank of Hungary, the financial research institute Pénzügykutató Intézet, the Finance Ministry and the World Bank in Washington. Between 1993 and 1996, he was director of Kereskedelmi Bank, the predecessor of K+H Bank, and he became CEO of insurer Allianz Hungária Biztosító in 1996. Radványi has worked for HVB Bank since 1992. She has headed the bank's corporate division for the last two years.
