Passenger turnover at Budapest's international airport increased 7.9% in April year-on-year, airport operator Budapest Airport Rt said on Wednesday.
In the twelve months to April 8.24 million passengers passed through the airport, a rise of 17.8% compared to the previous year. The number of no-frills passengers went up 2.4% to 2.29 million. Budapest Airport noted 79,038 passengers flew over the four-day Easter holiday, a rise of 10.2% compared to a year earlier.
Cargo weighing 6,913 tons passed through the airport in April, up 15.8% year-on-year. The airport's cargo volume was 77,587 tons in the twelve months to April.
