Mobile services company Pannon Zrt had operating profits of Ft 11.03 billion in the first quarter of 2006, up 27% from Ft 8.68 billion in the same period a year earlier, the company announced on Thursday.
Pannon had EBITDA of Ft 17.3 billion in Q1 2006, compared to Ft 15.4 billion in the same period in 2005. Revenue rose Ft 3 billion to Ft 45.1 billion during the period, and EBITDA as a proportion of revenue rose to 38.2% from 36.5%.
The company had 2.94 million subscribers at the end of March, 150,000 more than twelve months earlier.
Pannon made capital expenditures of Ft 2.26 billion in Q1 2006, compared to Ft 3.25 billion in the same period in 2005. Average revenue per user (ARPU) was a monthly Ft 4,804 in Q1, up 15% from the same period a year earlier.
