Pécs-based energy company Pannon Power Holding Rt embarked on the preparatory work of a Ft 30 billion investment to build two more biomass fuelled blocks, president-CEO László Somosi told business daily Napi Gazdaság.According to the plans, the blocks will have a capacity of 50 MW and 35 MW, and burn over 300,000 tons of wood pellets a year. The construction of the blocs is to be launched in 2007 at the earliest and to be finished by 2009. Pannon built its first biomass power plant in Pécs in 2003 through a Ft 8 billion investment, which worked at its full capacity of 50 MW for the first time this year.
