Öko-Line on sale for the third time

The liquidator of bankrupt green energy company Öko-Line Hungary Kft has raised the asking price of the company by HUF 70 million, citing a keen interest by potential investors and positive developments green energy regulations. Kurátor-Felszámoló Kft has put Öko-Line's assets on the block for the third time since the company went into liquidation this June. The asking price has been raised to HUF 2.15 billion, bids are to be submitted by January 10. Öko-Line was acquired by a foreign investor last December, who pledged to continue production and launch new developments, but the plan fell apart. Öko-Line was established in 2003 by Kész Kft, Resonator Kft and a private investor. Currently it's owned by Resonator and Cyprus-based Pinberry Holdings Ltd. The owners have invested HUF 4 billion into a new production facility which uses rape and sunflower seed oil to produce biodiesel. (BBJ)
