Number of new vehicles sold in Hungary climbs in July

The number of new vehicles sold in Hungary rose for the first time in months in July, in a twelve-month comparison, the Hungarian Association of Vehicle Importers (MGE) told MTI.

The number of new passenger cars sold in Hungary rose 19% to 4,359 in July from the same month a year earlier, MGE said. The number of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) climbed 49% to 855.

There were 25,897 passenger cars and 4,653 LCVs sold in Hungary in January-July, down 40% and 35%, respectively, from the same period a year earlier, according to market research company Datahouse. (MTI-Econews)
