The number of Hungarians who dine out on "Fat Thursday" - when participating restaurants around the country offer guests a 50% discount - has fallen sharply over the past three years, business daily Napi Gazdaság said on Monday. The annual event drew 260,000 diners in 2009, just three years after its launch. But the number fell to 200,000 in 2011 and reached 160,000 in 2012, the paper said. Usually, the event falls on the Thursday after Ash Wednesday. This year, restaurants will be offering the discount on Thursday, February 14, Valentine's Day.
