The number of active mobile phone subscriptions in Hungary rose by 18,000 to 10,873,000 from the end of September to the end of October, the National Media and Communications Authority (NMHH) told MTI.
The number of active - numbers that were called or from which calls were made in the previous three months - and inactive subscriptions rose by 29,000 to 11,862,000 during the period.
Market penetration inched up to 118.6 subscriptions per hundred people in October, up from 118.3 in September.
T-Mobile's market share, based on subscribers generating turnover, rose to 44.81% in October from 44.77% in September. Telenor's share was unchanged at 32.68% and Vodafone's fell to 22.51% from 22.55%. (MTI – Econews)
