Nokia to move headquarters for East Europe to Budapest

Finnish handset maker Nokia will move its headquarters for East Europe from Vienna to Budapest, the Austrian daily Presse reported citing company spokesperson Alma Mautner on Monday.

Nokia will regroup the management of its operations, moving Austria to the Western region, she said. In Hungary, Nokia has laid off about 2,100 people at its base in the Hungarian city of Komárom this year as part of a restructuring which involves moving production to Asia.
