Telecoms network equipment maker Nokia Siemens Networks said it is seeking up to €200 million ($264.5 million) of financing from the European Investment Bank (EIB).
The loan would be used to finance part of the research and development for upcoming fourth-generation long-term evolution (LTE) wireless telecoms technology.
Last month Nokia signed a €500-million, five-year loan agreement with the EIB to partly finance software research and development projects for making Symbian-based smartphones more competitive. (Reuters)
