This year Hungary has joined Nokia’s international developer contest called “Calling All Innovators.” The contest aims to motivate the creation of even more applications that can make full use of the capabilities of mobile phones and can be made available in Nokia’s online application store called Ovi.
From March 1, 2010, the Hungarian applicants can compete not only locally, but also in the global field for cash prize and the latest handsets from Nokia. In Hungary, the company is looking for the application best tailored to local needs that can help users in their everyday lives.
The most outstanding innovation will be awarded HUF 1 million, while the second and third prize will be a Nokia handset using the latest technologies. Winners will be selected by a team of professional judges. Applicants participating in the Hungarian turn and developing their application in English can participate in the global part of the competition as well.
The deadline for the applications is May 18, 2010. The participants of the final round will be announced in June, while winners get posted in September 2010. (BBJ Online)
