National Trade and Investment Office signs cooperation agreement with Opel

Opel's unit in Hungary, General Motors Powertrain-Magyarország, and the National Trade and Investment Office (NKH) signed a cooperation agreement in Russelsheim on Tuesday, the National Economy Ministry said.

The aim of the agreement is to boost the number of Hungarian companies among the suppliers to the unit Hungarian unit, the ministry said.

Opel announced in September it plans to spend €500 million to introduce a third line of engines at the production base. The project will create 800 jobs from 2012.
