National Geographic Television will broadcast a documentary on March 11 showcasing Hungary, Index.hu reported. The one-hour film was made jointly by the Hungarian Tourism Board and the National Geographic Society. The Society held in Hungary last July its geography World Championships involving students from 20 countries, and the film shows moments of the competition and follows students on their time-out programs, including a visit to UNESCO World Heritage village Hollókő and the Miskolctapolca cave spa in the north, as well as to other popular tourist destinations, such as the Balaton and the Herend porcelain factory near the lake in west Hungary. The documentary will be seen by some 25 million viewers in 12 Central and Eastern European countries and in Russia.
