The Hungarian Parliament’s Economic and IT Committee on Tuesday unanimously voted to submit for general debate a motion to amend Hungary's atomic-energy law that would allow reusing spent fuel rods at the country’s only nuclear plant in Paks, south of Budapest.
The amendment would make it possible for spent fuel rods to be reused, although there are no plans to do so at the moment, Ministry of National Development State Secretary János Bencsik said.
