The number of mobile phone subscriptions in Hungary fell 50,000 to 11,772,000 in May from the previous month, the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) said on Tuesday.
The number of active mobile phone subscriptions ─ numbers that were called or from which calls were made in the previous three months ─ rose 6,000 to close to 10,947,000 during the month.
Market penetration inched down to 118 per hundred people in May from 118.4 in April.
T-Mobile's market share, based on the total number of subscriptions, rose to 44.28% in May from 43.81% in April, Vodafone's fell to 22.49% from 22.54%, while Telenor's fell to 33.28% from 33.38%.
Based on the number of active subscriptions, Vodafone's market share fell to 22.62% from 22.67%, Telenor's dropped to 32.27% from 32.32%, while T-Mobile's rose to 45.1% from 45.01%.
