Mobile-telephone service provider Pannon GSM will change its name to Telenor, MTI has learned from market sources.
Pannon would not comment on the information to MTI.
Pannon GSM was the first company to start providing mobile-telephone services in Hungary in 1994. The company is now 100pc owned by Norway's Telenor.
Pannon GSM recorded EBITDA of HUF 73.4 billion in 2009, down HUF 3.6 billion from the previous year. Revenues amounted to HUF 177 billion last year, down HUF 11.3 billion from 2008.
Pannon had a market share of 34.68% in January 2010 in terms of the total number of subscribers, or 11,834,000. (MTI-Econews)
