Mineral water bottler Szentkirályi revenue stagnates at HUF 5.7 billion in 2009

Mineral water bottler Szentkirályi Ásványvíz had revenue of HUF 5.7 billion in 2009, about the same as in 2009, although sales volume inched up 3%, the company told MTI on Wednesday.

Pre-tax profit more than doubled in 2009 because of improved cost-efficiency.

Retail market share of Szentkirályi's two branded products - Szentkiralyi and Emese - climbed one-tenth of a percentage point to 10.6% in volume terms but rose 0.7 percentage point to 16.4% in value terms. Hungary's mineral water market was worth about HUF 47.5 billion in 2009, according to market research company ACNielsen. (MTI-Econews)
