Mil-Power Bioenergetikai Kft has recently begun construction of a HUF 1.1 billion (€4.17 million), 1MW biogas power-plant in Pusztahencse, the business daily Világgazdaság reported on Thursday.
Mil-Power expects to begin operating the plant, which will have capacity to provide around 2,000 households with power, to begin operating this fall.
The company received nearly HUF 500 million from the Environment and Energy Operative Program for construction of the plant.
First Hungarian Biogas CEO Attila Kovács estimated that the capacity of biogas plants in Hungary using agricultural waste for fuel could rise from 7.6MW in 2009 to 20.1MW in 2011. (MTI-ECONEWS)
