Media Council fines Neo FM for broadcasting too little news

The recently established Media Council of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) has fined commercial radio station Neo FM HUF 5.5 million for broadcasting too little news programming in December, the spokesperson's office of the council told MTI.

Since its launch, Neo FM has transgressed the Media Act several times, “be it with too much advertising, be it with less than the required news summaries and news programs”, according to the statement.

Neo FM also played too little Hungarian music, it added.
