McHale spends HUF 250m to expand base in Hungary

Irish baler and wrapper maker McHale is spending HUF 250 million to expand its production base in the Hungarian city of Szolnok, McHale Hungária managing director told MTI.

The company is building a 3,000 square meter production hall as well as making other improvements around the base. Last year, McHale Hungária spent HUF 226 million to outfit its plant with a pipe bender and welding robots. The company expects revenue in 2010 to climb 15% over the HUF 4.3 billion in 2009. The unit employs nearly a hundred people, but will add 20 more staff when the new production hall is completed. (MTI-Econews)
