Mátrai Erőmű might pay out about half of profits in dividend

The board of power plant Mátrai Erőmű will propose to shareholders at the company's AGM the payment of a HUF 10 billion, or HUF 2,920-per-share, dividend on 2010 after-tax profit of HUF 19.8 billion, the business daily Napi Gazdaság wrote on Thursday.

The newspaper reported that the power plant located in the village of Visonta (N Hungary) generated revenue of HUF 97.5 billion in 2010.

Mátrai Erőmű paid an identical dividend of HUF 10 billion, on 2009 after-tax profit of HUF 21.6 billion, last year.

German utilities giant RWE owns 50.9% of Mátrai Erőmű, while ENBW Energie Baden-Wurttemberg holds a 21.7% stake in the plant and the state-owned Hungarian Electricity Works (MVM) owns 25.5%.
