Austrian-owned Marzek Packaging on Thursday inaugurated a HUF 800 million high-capacity Heidelberg offset printer at its base in Bekescsaba (SE Hungary).
Marzek Etiketten has invested more than HUF 2.5 billion at its Hungarian unit since acquiring the printing plant in Bekescsaba in 2005, said managing director István Zoltán Kasa. The company has won Hungarian budget and EU grants of HUF 476 million in the period.
The proportion of the unit's export revenue has climbed from 2% to 25% during the period, and the company aims to boost exports into the region by a further 25% within three years, he added.
Marzek Packaging had revenue of HUF 4.6 billion in 2010, up from HUF 2.5 billion in 2005. Headcount rose from 121 to 185, during the period.
