Hungarian airline Malév signed a declaration of intent with SuperJet International on the purchase of 30 Sukhoi Superjet 100s worth more than $1 billion at the Le Bourget air show near Paris.
Malév plans to take delivery of the first six Sukhoi aircraft in 2011. It will take delivery of six aircraft each year for the following four years.
Malév currently has 27 aircraft in its fleet, but it will reduce the number to 22 by year-end.
Malév will operate the Sukhoi aircraft, with a capacity for 98 passengers, on its regional flights. (MTI – Econews)
