Pilots with Hungarian flag-carrier Malév will hold a warning strike between 10 am and 12 noon on Monday, the trade union Hunalpa said on Sunday.
During the strike, the pilots will hold a demonstration in front of Ferihegy terminal one, but the strike has been deliberately timed to cause only minor delays, Hunalpa said.
The strike is in protest of the failure of talks with the employer about the collective contracts for pilots.
Hunalpa did not initiate the talks in an effort to raise salaries but to object to the amendment of collective contracts that in effect reduces pilots' salaries by 20% effective September 2010, it said.
The other purpose of the talks was to demand the inclusion of regulations on working hours and resting time in the collective contracts and put an end to unlawful practices by the employer, Hunalpa said. (MTI – Econews)
