Malév grounding hits capital's five-star hotels

Occupancy rates at Budapest's five-star hotels have fallen as much as 20-25% since troubled national carrier Malév was grounded at the beginning of February, according to an analysis by the Hungarian Hotel Monitor.

The decline could last until April or May, the monitor said.

The monitor is compiled by Xellum with the support of the Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association based on data collected daily from 142 hotels.
