Union GSzSz has called a warning strike for ground staff of Hungarian national carrier Malév between 1 pm and 2 pm on Thursday, unions alliance LIGA told MTI on Wednesday.
GSzSz said the management had refused to raise the wages of even low-earners while company heads received bonuses and other payments were made by the company that were “objectionable”.
The warning strike is expected to cause no inconvenience to Malév passengers, GSzSz added.
Malév communications director Márta Róna confirmed for MTI that the strike would not affect passenger traffic. Malév's management is trying to reach an agreement with GSzSz, but this requires compromise, not meeting the unrealistic demands of the union, she added.
