Magyar Telekom sets up new unit to run EDR project

Telecom service provider Magyar Telekom Rt has established a new subsidiary, Professional Mobile Radio (Pro-M) to build and operate the nationwide Unified Digital Radio Network (EDR) system in Hungary, Magyar Telekom announced on the stock exchange website on Wednesday. The new company has been set up by Magyar Telekom and its mobile unit T-Mobile Hungary with registered capital of Ft 200 million. Magyar Telekom owns 25% plus one share of Pro-M, and the remainder is held by T-Mobile. Béla Kozma, previously CEO of Emitel Rt, has been appointed CEO of the new company.
