US enterprise-mobility company iPass announced that it has concluded a partnership with Hungarian telecommunications company Magyar Telekom in which a total of almost 500 access points have been integrated into the iPass Mobile Network service, including over 150 in Budapest alone, and are now available to over 3,500 global iPass enterprise customers.
iPass's customer base in Hungary as well as multinational end users will have access to the service in over 100 business hotels, including leading chains such as Sofitel, Mercure, Ibis and Novotel, and at Budapest Ferihegy international airport. Other key points of access around Hungary include cafes, restaurants and various retail venues, the US company said. With iPass, mobile employees can gain access to a single, unified connection over multiple-access technologies and across multiple device types around the world.
The iPass Mobile Network includes business venues such as 89 of the world's 100 busiest airports and a total of 643 airports worldwide as well as over 31,000 hotels and conference venues and over 110,000 retail venues worldwide. (MTI – Econews)
