Magyar Telekom is expanding its portfolio of services again: it is teaming up with ACE Group to offer handset insurance and with Union Biztosító to offer travel insurance, Gábor Pukler, in charge of innovation and business development at MTel, said at a press conference on Tuesday.
The telco partnered with E.ON in the spring to offer its clients electricity and gas.
Magyar Telekom has so far signed 10,000 contracts with clients on energy purchases, and it hopes to sign 10,000 travel insurance policies and 20,000 handset insurance policies by year-end, Pukler said.
The handset insurance can be had for about HUF 500-800 a month, depending on the type of coverage. The travel insurance is to be available through text message for HUF 500-1,200 per day. (MTI-Econews)
