Magyar Posta spends HUF 3.25 billion on electronic services

State-owned Hungarian postal company Magyar Posta is spending HUF 3.25 billion to develop its electronic services, CEO Zsolt Szarka said at a press conference on Wednesday. Magyar Posta is setting up a system that will allow it to convert clients' paper documents into electronic ones and vice versa, Szarka said. The company is also spending HUF 500 million to set up electronic administration points at post offices in 40 communities with fewer than 2,000 residents, he added. The services, to be launched in January 2014, are supported with European Union and state funding.
